Serving up a brace of offensive topspins on the forehand side and soaking up the pressure in the second set of defensive returns to the backhand, DJ Klaus-Envoy and Woody cut, chop, spin and push their first workout as CUBESHINER – a precursor to their recent work as DIVINE RAIN – from back in 2007.

Having discussed and planned the idea over several games of ping pong, the sonic sparring partners concentrate their glowing, organic, ambient textures in real time, no overdubs.

This is the first archive instalment of CUBESHINER's collaborative dissertations of analogue soundscapes. References to table tennis are purely coincidental.
